Anxiety and: phobia (which is an irrational fear) are not pleasant. They are, however, very treatable. Please see a mental health professional for help. Self-help can be part of this. See www.relaxationresponse.org for a technique. Peace and good health. Focus on enjoying your own company. This can switch from lonliness to solitude and become positive.

Desensitization.: Small steps will help you overcome this fear. For example, look out the window for a while. Next time, sit on your front steps. Then, stand on the lawn. Then at the curb. then down the block. Hard to explain in 400 characters, but look up desensitization for phobias and you'll see.

CBT: Cognitive-behavioral therapy can help immensely with learning to manage anxiety. Consult with a psychologist here on HealthTap or in your community to start the process of developing healthy coping strategies.
