How can i get over my fears of endoscopy? its been years of suffering from gerd and its getting worse but im afraid to get the test done. i have really bad medical anxiety- always had all of my life

Talk to your primary care physician, who is arranging the endoscopy where the G.I. doctor is going to perform it. If needed, they can give you a couple of pills to decrease your anxiety before the procedure. The type of anesthesia given most the time a person is asleep throughout the procedure.
