Maybe doesn't matter: This is a personal more than professional reply. Standard advice for rmen with prostate problems and reduced urine flow indeed is to take tamsulosin (Flomax) with or just after the largest meal of the day. I agree it is inconvenient and I take mine at bedtime. In my experience, timing doesn't matter and my urologist said it makes little if any difference.

Does not matter: It really does not matter. But you should take it at the same time every day.whatever is convenient for you.Ideally it should be taken 30 minutes after a meal. But it will really not make too much difference if you take it ,say before going to bed like many of my patients do with rest of their medication pills
