Visit Ortho Surgery: I would encourage you to visit an orthopaedic surgeon. There are several types of foot fractures that are commonly misdiagnosed as ankle sprain. Some fractures are not picked up and require another view of the ankle on x-ray or a CT scan. You may also have a Lisfranc injury of your midfoot.
