It's safe, but...: Sertraline, like the other SSRI's are classified by the DEAE as safe antidepressants during pregnancy, meaning that the risk for prematurity, low birth weight, or birth defects are minimum . However, it doesn't mean nonexistent. Benefits and risks should always be considered. 50mg is a very low dose for Sertraline, talk to your Dr about real benefits. Safer to stop now or once you test positive.
