Brand vs Generic: Are you seeing an endocrinologist? The diff between levothyroxine (LT4) & Tirosint is the name. LT4 is the chemical name of the main thyroid hormone. Tirosint is a brand of Lt4. If poss people should stay on the same brand of LT4. There is a bigger question. Why are you on it? For thyroid dz I agree. For an enlarged thyroid some get some dec in thyroid size with LT4, but risks outweigh benefits.
