I don't think uncertainty of your thyroid status would play much of a role in your episode of temporary vision loss & what you describe as symptoms of a severe stroke. It shouldn't matter if you withhold your thyroid dose for a day. I'm disappointed that you can't get to the ER for an important evaluation to determine whether you had a stroke or not. Could it have been a migraine episode instead?

Dr. Colantino raises a pertinent question as to whether your visual loss and additional symptoms were due to stroke or migraine. Your thyroid medication played no role whatsoever, and stopping this will not affect any lingering neurological symptoms. See a doctor ASAP.
