A member asked:

I have been operated for thyroid disease in last year. now i am taking levothyroxine 150mcg daily. what is the possible way i can reduce weight?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weight loss.: Diet exercise and weight loss are the foundation of weight loss. 30 minutes of aerobic exercise - for you a heart rate of about 150 is the target - 5 times per week. If your TSH is normal there is no contribution to weight gain from your thyroid.
