Product label: According to the product labelling on Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) it may decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. If you are taking this medication on a regular basis you could consider switching to Nexplanon, an IUD or Depoprovera which will not interact. Seek a cause of headaches if this is a recurring problem for you.
