Useful to evaluate: Cataracts progress at a different rate for each. Vision can change just from a change in the need for eyeglasses, or other conditions. That is why we advocate regular eye examinations. Your ophthalmologist can determine if your visual symptoms are due to advancing cataracts or some other condition.

Cataract: You should see and Ophthalmologist, so they can evaluate what is causing the change in your vision. They can help determine if it is due to the cataracts or something else. As well the timing of when to proceed with cataract surgery.

Cataract evaluation: Cataracts should be removed when it interferes with your activities of daily living (and glare vision test is less than 20/40) or when best corrected vision is less than 20/40. Working with your eyeMD will help determine when is best to address cataracts given risks/benefits. More info on Eyedoc2020.blogspot.com
