Hsv: You are taking acyclovir to prevent hsv outbreak. It is safer to take acyclovir than to have an outbreak when you go into labor.

Benefits > than risk: The suppression of the herpes virus and prevention of a genital outbreak of lesions in your vagina or vulva which could seriously infect and endanger your baby during a vaginal delivery are significant benefits which greatly outweigh the potential risks or side effects of the medication. It is indeed wise and recommended to take it till delivery.
