Swift kick: Soft tissue injury and bruising can take a good 6 weeks to resolve, but you should be noticing some very gradual improvement by now. If it's not improving at all or getting worse then a doc may order an X-ray to investigate possible fracture, but that would be unlikely at age 35 unless it was a horse that kicked you. Ice, ibuprofen or acetaminophen, gentle stretching and not overdoing it helps.
