Antibiotics: Coughing and wheezing after flu like illness suggests need for antibiotics. Would contact your doctor and ask about antibiotics. Wheezing does not sound like a clear chest to me. You may also need a chest XRAY.

Re-examination.: If this was just the flu, it would typically be resolving after one week, so the fact that you're still having symptoms has me curious, especially if those symptoms are pulmonary as you've described. I would have your doctor reconsider your diagnosis at this point.
