Cough: Usually, antibiotics are not indicated in the flu. The persistant cough and wheezing are the hallmarks of a viral infection. Sometimes, these viral infections can become super-infected with bacteria, and in the lungs, this can be pneumonia and/or bronchitis. Best to re-visit you doctor for a work up of the problem.
