Good question!: Asking about the best macronutrient distribution for weight loss is great. There is a range: carbohydrate (mostly complex, not simple sugar) should be 45-65% of calories, fat 20-35%, protein 10-35%. High protein diets are popular now, but all work within these parameters and the proper total calorie intake. I personally recommend carb 50%, fat 20%, protein 30%. Remember your daily exercise, too!
