Sugars : Your blood sugar depends on the carbs you eat (sweets, pasta, bread, etc). A normal person without diabetes, will have no trouble clearing the sugar from the body. Protein does not affect your blood sugar. Prednisone increases it. If you blood sugar is high, it maybe a sign of diabetes, and you should see a doctor. If it is low, it maybe a more serious problem, and you should see a doctor.
