Need help from GI: If you have a peptic ulcer, most important is to start the right GI treatment, with acid secretion blockers +/-antibiotics, etc.according to your gastroenterologist Dr. While this is done, anxiety needs to be addressed with anxiolitics, a good combo is clonazepam 0.5mgBID and a slow titration of an SSRI ( fluoxetine or sertraline or escitalopram, etc). Avoid paroxetine for now if GI side effects..

Possible: That is, a possible side effect. Most people taking Paroxetine don't get an ulcer from it. Just about any medicine has an ulcer as a possible side effect. Although there are not guarantees, there are good odds that you won't get that side effect. Paroxetine, does tend to help anxiety for many people.
