Some basics: If you truly have either condition the therapy of choice would be a continuous use of PPI for 2-3 weeks to create an environment in your stomach for it to heal. Perceived irritation could be aided with an antacid taken for symptoms, but episodic use of any treatment is unlikely to heal a true problem.
