Irritation: The most likely explanation is irritation from the acidic contents of the stomach. The sensation of something stuck in the throat is commonly due to irritation/inflammation of delicate tissue around the glottis. However, the act of vomiting is violent and potentially can result in tearing of the esophagus, which causes severe chest discomfort and infection. Follow instincts, see doc if worried
