See your doctor.: Difficulty swallowing, or dysphagia, is fairly common. It is often a manifestation of untreated Gerd, although that is not necessarily so. First step is a physical exam by your doctor to help narrow down the cause. A trial of medicine may be useful, and perhaps an endoscopy, with possible dilatation of the esophagus, if that is not the answer. Good luck.
