Ear infection: It sounds like your daughter has an ear infection with a perforated eardrum. Sometimes, there is so much pressure from the infected fluid that a small rupture in the eardrum occurs and the fluid is released. This rupture usually re-closes on it's own. The "lump" is probably a swollen lymph node that is attempting to fight the infection. She should see her doc for an exam and antibiotics.
