Ascites: Besides medicines, there are various procedures that are possible for ascites. They range from a shunt which can be placed in the liver without surgery (TIPS) to shunt surgery itself. In addition, a successful liver transplant would cure Ascites. Once healed, some people would be able to engage in contact sports, within reason. Details of these procedures require more than 400 characters.
