Did partial nail avulsion, 3 days ago. still having pain and area is getting cristy for some reason. should i be worried about an infection?

Cristy crust.: I would expect that after three days, the pain should have tapered off by now. I am not sure just what the term "cristy" means, but it sounds like you are experiencing the hardening of tissue fluid and blood, secondary to the avulsion. While an infection is always a concern, the presence of a piece of nai,l still present, should be considered. Call your doctor if relief does not start soon.
