Sug Echocardiogram: A Murmur is usually generated by a heart valve. There are 4 valves and murmurs can be generated during contraction and during relaxation. One valve almost always causes a contraction leak, which may have been inaudible before but brought out by hypertension as a murmur. In one valve a murmur is rarely normal. However a new Murmur requires investigation.
