A member asked:

Can ibs cause rlq pain .i have been having pain on&off for 4 months.had ct scan didn't show anything wrong.what are ibs symptoms? do i colonoscopy.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Colonoscopy: Irritable bowel symptoms typically run the spectrum from constipation to diarrhea, frequently alternating back and forth. Usually there is episodic cramping and spasm, but bleeding and weight loss are unusual. Evaluation by your primary care physician may not find any abnormalities in blood tests ,x rays or a ct scan. Proceed to Gastroenterology for colonoscopy.
