Hypodontia See DDS: is a condition where you have missing teeth due to their failure to develop. See your dentist for panoramic x-ray and treatment options.

Radiographs needed: When was the last time your dentist did a full mouth series of radiographs to see if your teeth are present. Which molars are you addressing, third molars, all molars? Speak with your dentist to get a clear perspective on your situation.

Wisdom teeth: Wisdom teeth begin to develop at about 8-12, and are fully erupted before 21. If no sign of them yet either they are congenitally missing (common) or impacted (more common). Your Dentist's x-rays should show if they are congenitally missing or impacted. If impacted, can cause damage surrounding bone, soft tissues, teeth. If impacted see a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for advice.

Missing molars?: If you are referring to your third molars or wisdom teeth, they are likely impacted although sometimes they never develop. The only way to know which it is and whether or not they need to be removed is to see a dentist who can take x-rays to check on their development and whether or not they need to be removed if not erupted in your mouth.
