Biopsy done?: I assume that colloid material was detected on a biopsy? The only cause for concern was the "inhomogeneous" (i.e, speckled) part of the nodule. Most thyroid nodules are homogeneous (uniform) masses of colloid. If a biopsy just shows more colloid (no atypical cells), I would say that's reassuring.
