Depends: Pancreas is a spread out organ. It produces important enzymes to help you break down and absorb food components. The back end of the pancreas produces insulin which is instrumental in sugar and fat metabolism. When the organ is diseased it can also cause back pain and if it encroaches on the neighboring gallbladder or liver can cause jaundice.
