No: However, transplant of small cellular components of the pancreas which make the insulin, called islets, are done in a few experimental centers around the country. In addition, some patients can do well with an external artificial Insulin pump which delivers Insulin over a two day period and has to be adjusted less frequently than given Insulin shots.

Yes. Referred to as "closing the loop" between continuous glucometer and insulin pump. Not FDA approved or clinically available.
