Pain meds?: I would recommend getting evaluated. Likely it is from pain medication. If any chest pain or shortness of breath please go to the emergency room and call 911

Could be flu or not.: Entirely possible, if your surgery was done under general anesthesia. However, this type of surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia, in which case something else is to blame. No matter the reason, it is appropriate to call the surgeon for his opinion.
