Time to get help...: Abdominal pain is never normal, & when significant ("extreme stomach pain") even less so. Lots of things cause abdominal pain--see earlier healthtap answers please. When/if pain is severe, don't delay in seeking evaluation or getting treatment. We understand finances are an issue, but there are many free clinics out there, and many Emergency Rooms offer no-insurance care.

Go to ER: The list of potentially bad causes of abdominal pain is long and can't really be evaluated without a good exam. It can be benign things like viral infection, UTI or constipation to ectopic pregnancy, ovarian torsion, appendicitis, pancreatitis, gall stones. But diagnosis of the causes of extreme abdominal pain in this forum is really not safe for you.
