Occluded bile duct.: There are multiple potential reasons for distal bile duct occlusion. The key is to figure out what tests are likely to give the answer. Endoscopy, ERCP, CT scan, and MRCP are all likely tests that you may undergo. If your bile duct is completely occluded, this is an emergency. You should speak with your doctors as to their next step.
