Lipase ...: is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of lipids. Lipases are a subclass of the esterases & perform essential roles in the digestion, transport & processing of dietary triglycerides, fats, oils. Lipasemia (elevated serum lipase levels) raises concern for pancreatic pathology, particularly if accompanied by upper abdominal pain. What's your CT scan showing?

Elevated Lipase: Elevated lipase is pancreatitis. Discuss with your doc you may have gallstones pancreatitis or have an issues with the pancreatic duct or at the head of the pancreas and may need abdominal ultrasound/ CT and or ERCP
