Cyst, likely.: Keep an eye on it, and see if it changes size, or becomes painful. If no other symptoms, make an appt and get it checked. Then your daughter and her doc can monitor it, if it is felt to be no big deal, or decide to do more tests, if concerned. Can't tell what it is without seeing it, feeling, it and knowing more, but it sounds not too scary and getting it checked will help you know for certain.

Not sure: Could be a cyst or lipoma. Medical assessment should provide diagnosis.
