Will sudafed get rid of post nasal drip? if so, how long may it take to do so?

Temporary relief: in 12-24 hours. Not a long term solution. If postnasal drip is due to a viral infection it should clear in 5-7 days. If due to an allergy, different medications may need to be prescribed. See your GP if not better in a week. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Post nasal drip: Sudafed may help with a post-nasal drip. I don't recommend using it for more than 3 days consecutively, as doing so may cause a rebound effect and worsen the post-nasal drip.
