About

Bio

I am a family medicine physician practicing on the island of Oahu. I am a graduate of Brown University and Dartmouth Medical School and a board-certified family practitioner. I am passionate about nutrition, wellness and lifestyle medicine and a current fellow of Functional & Anti-Aging Medicine.

Specialties
Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.

H pylori : An elevated H pylori IGG titer is indicative of prior exposure to Helicobacteria pylori, a bacterial pathogen which can infect the stomach and is associated with heartburn, ulceration and, in some instances, stomach cancer. Whilst not diagnostic, an elevated IGG titer often indicates the presence of this bacteria as a pathogen. Stool antigen testing and breath testing are other diagnostic tools.

Contraception: No, there is no need for you to use back up unless you miss 3 or more consecutive days of contraception. I recommend taking your next dosage at the usual time and resume your nightly schedule thereafter.

Gas: What was your last meal? Many people struggle with an excess of fermentable carbohydrate, which causes a lot of gas and bloating. If you havw chronic indigestion and or gas, you may want to consider a low FODMAP diet. You can find an example of this diet on many websites.
