Bump/back of head/lower left side. not cyst or tumor. mri shows nothing in that spot. at times it causes a tremendous amount of pain. any advice, info, or recommendation is much appreciated. have had it for about 5 yrs.

Sebaceous cyst: In that area it is most likely a sebaceous cyst. It is just a collection of retained sebum - a skin oil produced by sebaceous glands. This gland is in the shaft of the hair and keeps the hair nice and shiny. It can be electively excised.
