So i went to the doctor he thinks i have a mencuis tear so i'm doing therapy the pt says i have no knee muscle mass what causes this to happen?

Disuse atrophy: If you have a painful condition in the leg, which can certainly occur with a tear in the meniscus, you can get atrophy in the muscles due to lack of use. Therapy, or addressing the underlying cause of the pain can both be helpful.
