Can be: If your knee is stable it should be ok. Ligament sprains are graded, Grade 1 and 2 are partial tears where enough ligament remains to maintain stability of a joint . Grade 3 indicates complete rupture and a stabilizing brace would be in order to help the ligament heal and avoid permanent laxity
