I say no: I'm sorry you can't get a definitive test. The old antibody assays gave many tests like this, and folks like you usually proved not to have the bug on board. Why not relax? You're not a significant danger to your friends, even possible romantic partners. I trust you're not sharing needles. I think Hep C will be easy to cure for almost anyone soon enough if you DO prove to have it. Best wishes.
