Doc why is that i keep having oral thrust even though i have tested negative for hiv 8 months after sexual exposure to hiv. she was tested hiv+ but all my test have been coming back negative 8 months out. 20 plus 4 generation lab test, 1 pcr rna neg?

Oral Thrush is caused by many things including: Reduced immune system (HIV, Cancer, organ transplants), Diabetes, Medications ( corticosteroids, antibiotics, meds that cause dry mouth) and oral problems (wearing dentures). Talk to both you Dentist and your Primary care Dr to discuss alternative causes and be tested for them. Since we know its not HIV related, look for other causes.
