COVID-19 presentations can be nonspecific and indeed there is overlap between initial symptoms caused by various viruses. Even the Delta variant can appear similar to an allergic disorder. It is reassuring that the PCR, which is far more accurate, was negative. So, at this point, most likely explanation for your symptoms appears to be a different disorder.

Two different negative tests, with the PCR test 3-4 days after being symptomatic rules out Covid infection. Get Covid vaccine.
