Treatment Plan: The predictability of the outcome of an implant restoration in the posterior part of the mouth is dependent on many variables: 1. Available space. 2. Implant number and position. 3. Occlusion. 4. Treatment plan by your dental team.

Get 2: If there is space, get 2 unless there is some other contraindication. Usually I don't consider it to be a good idea to hang an extra tooth off the implant . Its undue pressure on the implant.

False economy: Ask your Dental expert rather than your well meaning but non-trained friend. Choice of support for restorations depends on amount of bone support, size of restorations, and occlusal relationships. Usually the most long-lasting treatment is provided by separate implants. Ask your restorative Dentist and his surgical team for best advice as it applies to your individual circumstance.
