Infant feeding: In my pediatric practice, I normally start infant feeding with fortified rice cereal that you buy in the baby food aisle of the supermarket. You can mix that with the soya formula. Start with a teaspoon of cereal and mix it with the formula to make it as thick or thin as the baby seems to like it. Feed the baby from a spoon. Stick with the one cereal for at least 3 days to check for allergies.

A spoon: There is nothing magical about foods for baby. They are the same foods that we eat. If you have a good blender at home you can grind up your own fresh fruits or Vegas and pour the purses into ice cube trays and freeze them. Then release them from the trays and store them in zip-loc bags, take out 3 cubes, defrost & voilĂ . Try not to give more than 1new food every 3 days in case he's intolerant.

Solids: Start with either rice or oatmeal cereal and mix it with the soy formula that she is on. Then you can add yellow/orange vegetables such as squash, carrots, sweet potatoes. Don't add more than one new food per week.
