Probably: Not sure the reason you were told to take Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) DS. There is some crossing over thru the placenta to baby but most dangerous time in pregnancy is 1st third. That's when all organs have been laid out. After that they get bigger. Everything in medicine as in life is weighing risk-to-benefit. Your doc thought the risk to u of taking the med was less than the benefit of taking it. Good luck.
