Gastroenterologist: Focal colitis can occur as part of inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis or chrohn's disease or be nonspecific. Treatment with cortisone type medication delivered by enema may be effective. Your gastroenterologist is best qualified to answer your question,however.
