What is focal active colitis? what causes it?

It Depends: Clinically, Focal Active Colitis depends on your endoscopic and clinical presentation/symptoms. It can be benign as a result of the prep you were given for your colonoscopy to something more serious due to infectious colitis or inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis/Crohn's Disease) with symptoms of bloody diarrhea, mucous, etc. See your treating physician for more info on your case.

Unhealthy lifestyle: Focal colitis is inflammation of intestine at a specific location only, and not whole of intestine. It is an autommune condition, usually triggered by unhealthy lifestyle in genetically susceptible people. Avoiding grains, lentils, milk products, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes help heal the intestine. It usually takes 1-4 months. Take Probonox probitic, vit D3, eat meats, veggies, distress, sleep.
