Miscarriage: Unfortunately, there are several different criteria for diagnosing a miscarriage, and one of them is a fetal pole measuring more than 7 mm without a heartbeat. It appears that this pregnancy meets that criteria. Usually this is a pregnancy that was chromosomally abnormal, and this is nature's way of taking care of the problem. But you can always choose to wait longer and do another ultrasound.
