Hard to say..: A red throat can be caused by so many different things, and wisdom tooth problems usually include other issues. It's best to be examined by a local oral surgeon.

See your PCP: a red throat that lasts for longer than a 2 weeks is caused by allergies, or exposure to humidity, smoking, irritation from air-conditioning. If concerned see your PCP for evaluation.
