Tonsil Pain: Although you should have adequately healed after eight days, it is possible to have residual inflammation, possibly an infection. Why don't you let your oral surgeon take a look.

Sore throat: You probably have a viral sore throat, although you may have bacterial infection of the extraction site. Important that you return to the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that removed the tooth for post-surgical evaluation. If extraction site healing normally, the next step is to see your General Physician to have your sore throat treated.
